Penkenna Barn

Former cattle shed

Penkenna Barn is a former cattle shed and is situated right on the edge of the beautiful Crackington Haven beach.

Because of its history, it was essential that we retained the character of the building. This required all the fittings, internal joinery, doors and shutters to be bespoke, made by our joiners in our workshop – a time-consuming task but with fantastic results.

“T H Teague and Sons built our house, Penkenna Barn, in 1998. The site was derelict when we started so the project was to restore and rebuild where possible the existing building and to add a new extension in keeping with the original barn. “It took approximately 18 months to complete the project from start to finish during which time Teagues ensured a smooth and effortless experience. “They took considerable care with the project whilst attention to detail in terms of general building, finishes, carpentry, timings and costs were exceptional. “We cannot speak too highly of their skill and craftsmanship or their ability to manage a project of this complexity. It was a thoroughly positive experience working with them and we would recommend them without hesitation.” Fiona Bourne
